PARISH MINISTRIES

College Students / Young Adults
St. Thomas More is the University Parish for Bowling Green State University. Veritas is a Catholic student group at BGSU which holds meetings every Thursday night at 8:00 in the Gallery on the 2nd floor of the McFall Center for praise, worship, prayer, catechesis, and social activities. In addition, Veritas features a number of other activities and outreaches for Catholic college students such as Going Deeper on Sunday nights, Service Projects and trips, as well as many other opportunities for social and spiritual development. Contact JonMarc Grodi at garbolagrodi@mac.com for more information. The parish supports Catholic Households of men and women committed to forming communities based on faith, service, and Christian community. Households meet weekly for prayer and meals, a monthly Lord's Day dinner, and they host Men's and Women's nights with the students of Veritas. For more information, please contact Bethany Schmiedebush for the women's household at schmieb@bgsu.edu and Cameron Davis for the men's household at daviscj@bgsu.edu.

CCF, Catholic Formation
Religious education classes are offered for grades kindergarden thru high school. CCF normally meets after the 10 a.m. Mass on Sunday mornings during the school year. Contact the parish office for more information.

Koinonia Retreat
The Koinonia retreat provides students an opportunity to take a break during the middle of the semester and spend a weekend growing in relationship with God and their fellow students. The BGK retreat embodies the essence of "Koinonia" - the Greek word for community - through a shared experience of growth in Christ-participating in his life, death, and resurrection. Koinonia is an invitation to be spiritually recharged, leaving the crap of the past behind and going forth in the power, love, and light of Christ! Click here for more information and to register for the next Koinonia Retreat.

Sacrament of Baptism
Expected parents who wish to have their children baptized are to contact the parish office to make arrangements of the Baptism and preparation before the birth of the baby.

Sacrament of Reconciliation
Confessions are heard one hour before Mass on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday or by appointment.

Sacrament of Matrimony
Please contact Fr. Michael Dandurand to make initial arrangement. Diocesan policy requires a six-month planning period and participation in a marriage preparation program. Engaged and married couples check out this website called "For your Marriage", Resources for living happily ever after.
